Poet, playwright, publisher, and activist Lawrence Ferlinghetti was born Lawrence Monsanto Ferling on March 24, 1919 in Yonkers, New York and passed away at the age of 101 in Sa n Franicsco, California.
Rob Lee is a photographer and writer who lived in San Francisco for several decades. His work chronicles the era of the North beach beat poets, S.F. Zen Buddhist culture formation + the lives of residents at Maitri AIDS care facility. Rob lives in Portland, Oregon.
