Yes, I love antiques and yes, I love art ... I also really enjoy more than just one type or period of furniture. Perhaps that's where Poetica is more than it appears. The little vignette above is a nice example. Two vintage wall paper rollers converted into lamps flank a William Switzler mahogany French regency-style desk with embossed leather top. A turn of the century antique biscuit container holds a bouquet of daffodils on the left. A 1940's Royal typewriter (with brand new ribbon) and vintage Japanese lacquered boxes sit on the right. The middle of this vignette features S.F. artist Becca Smidt's hand pressed lenticulars. And finally above on the wall there are two beautiful Spanish midcentury flower mirrors. All very handsome and each piece has its own integrity and design value. I like how they seamlessly work together too.
